This position involves teaching in both didactic and clinical settings, supporting curriculum development and program assessment, participating in interprofessional education, and engaging in university and professional service.

The Dental Hygiene program offers a 5-semester BS degree, admitting 36 students annually through a holistic admissions process. Our curriculum emphasizes active learning, critical thinking, and interprofessional collaboration, with clinical experiences at UAMS and affiliated sites such as Arkansas Children's Hospital and the Central Arkansas VA.

• Bachelor's degree from a CODA-accredited dental hygiene program

• Current or eligible dental hygiene license in the state of Arkansas, including certification in local anesthesia

• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience as a practicing dental hygienist

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in dental hygiene, education, public health, or a related field with five (5) or more years of recent clinical experience as a dental hygienist.

• Active involvement in professional organizations at the local, state, or national level
