Job summary

Institute of Technology - Salem Campus invites experienced Registered Nurses to join our Nursing Education team as Nursing Instructors. This non-exempt role may involve classroom instruction, skills lab, simulation, and clinical teaching to prepare students for licensure and professional practice.

You will bring a BSN (and a master's for the Associate program), an active Oregon RN license, and at least three years of clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• BSN required for Practical Nursing Program.
• Master's degree required for Associate Degree in Nursing Program.
• Active RN license in Oregon.
• Minimum of three years of recent clinical nursing experience.
• Teaching, preceptor, or nursing education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach and facilitate nursing courses and clinical learning experiences.
• Demonstrate and evaluate nursing skills in laboratory and simulation environments.
• Supervise and mentor nursing students at clinical sites.
• Help students connect classroom concepts to patient care.
• Provide meaningful coaching, feedback, and academic support.
• Evaluate student progress and clinical competency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Associate Degree in Nursing Program

• Master's degree required

All Nursing Instructor Positions

• Current and active RN license through the Oregon State Board of Nursing
• Minimum of three years of recent clinical nursing experience
• Teaching, preceptor, clinical instructor, or nursing education experience preferred

Experience with skills lab instruction, simulation, competency-based education, classroom teaching, or hybrid learning is also highly valued.
