Job summary

Virtua Health seeks an educator for Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician training at our Berlin location. You will deliver the required curriculum, monitor learning progress, and ensure alignment with local and national standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on instruction, curriculum development, and collaboration with coordinators to maximize learner outcomes. Part-time, on-site duties with a focus on practical teaching experiences.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or Patient Care Technician with training/educating experience.
• High School Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Licensure/certification as CMA or Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Patient Care Technician is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the prescribed Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician curriculum and instruction.
• Evaluate student performance and provide feedback, including remediation as needed.
• Create learning tools and grade assignments and assessments.
• Support evaluation of materials and programs to improve Virtua Health's education offerings.

Job Summary

Provides core content instruction and education to students based on the curriculum in compliance with local, state, and national education standards. Works with the Coordinator and others to maximize academic achievement, retention, certification, graduation and placement outcomes. Works collaboratively to plan and implement clinical learning experiences.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver dynamic, effective, and engaging education according to the specified Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician curriculum required. Observes actions during practice, provides positive or corrective feedback, and guide toward the acquisition of skills.
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to ensure mastery of the curriculum. Tests for competency and provides remediation as necessary.
• Creates learning support tools to support students based on demonstrated needs. Grade course activities and post weekly and final grades by the predetermined deadline.
• Assists in the evaluation of existing materials and programs with the goal of providing the highest quality programs for Virtua Health.

Position Qualifications Required

• Required Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or Patient Care Technician with experience in training/educating.
• Required Education: High School Graduate required, Associate's degree preferred.
• Training / Certification / Licensure: Licensure, certification and required continuing education as a Certified Medical Assistant or a Certified Patient Care Technician. Proof of successful completion of a curriculum and instruction course offered through an accredited college.

Hourly Rate: $21.85 - $32.83 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant's experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
