Job summary

Aims Community College is seeking a part-time CPR Instructor to teach American Heart Association CPR and First Aid classes at multiple campus sites in Northern Colorado. Varied hours include evenings and Saturdays.

The role requires delivering high-quality instruction and adhering to AHA standards. You will evaluate student performance, maintain equipment, and assist the CPR Coordinator with scheduling and material management.

Qualifications

• Must obtain CPR instructor certification within six months of hire; certification provided by Aims.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Teaching experience preferred, especially in healthcare or emergency services settings.
• Ability to evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

• Teach CPR and First Aid classes in accordance with AHA standards.
• Provide high-quality instruction and maintain compliance with College requirements.
• Instruct small groups and coach student skill performance with appropriate ratios.
• Evaluate student performance and document skill proficiencies.
• Assist CPR Coordinator with equipment maintenance and coordination for on- and off-campus classes.
• Set up and tear down classrooms; clean and replace used parts as needed.
• Submit required paperwork to Training Center Coordinator by due dates.

Occasional travel may be required.Work Hours:Varied work hours to include evenings and Saturdays. No monthly minimum hour requirement for this position.Job Duties:Teach CPR and First Aid classes in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) standards and guidelines.Provide effective and high quality instruction in compliance with AHA standards and College requirements.Instruct small group sessions to demonstrate skills and coach student skills performance in compliance with student-faculty ratios established by the AHA.Follow college, department, and AHA procedures and requirements for student evaluation and grading.Evaluate student performance and document student skill proficiencies.
