  • Maintains communication with instructors from other divisions to keep courses up-to-date.
  • Assists with establishing goals and objectives for the course, selecting text and constructing a syllabus.

This position is responsible for providing effective instruction for assigned courses.

  • Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner

  • Designs curriculum and a schedule of instruction

  • Remains up-to-date on technology and methods of teaching with technology

  • Serves on college or department committees as needed
  • Attends professional development opportunities when possible
  • Makes and maintains contacts with other professionals inrelated fieldsat the secondary, university, and the two-year college level
  • Assists with establishing goals and objectives for the course, selecting text and constructing a syllabus
  • Maintains communication with instructors from other divisions in order to keep courses up-to-date and appropriate

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Construction Management or related field
  • Two years of relevant experience in construction management or five years of relevant experience in industry construction
  • Computer skills using basic functions of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook
Preferences:
  • Bachelor of Science in Construction Management or other related field
  • One year of teaching experience in Construction Management in a post-secondary school
  • Current industry-recognized certification within the field of construction management (e.g., Certified Construction Manager, OSHA, etc.)
  • Experience with distance learning and/or alternate instructional delivery systems
