Job summary

Management & Training Corporation is seeking an instructor to provide career technical training to students at the Edison Job Corps Center in Edison, NJ. The role involves delivering instruction per approved curricula and maintaining a safe learning environment.

Requirements include an active RN license and at least 2 years of relevant experience, including long-term facility exposure, plus either formal training in teaching adults or demonstrable teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license.
• Two (2) years experience; at least 1 of which shall be in the provision of a long-term facility.
• Must complete a course in teaching adults or have experience teaching adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
• Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits.
• Coordinate with counselors and staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student training and/or instruction.
• Develop and prepare lessons in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines, recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe training environment.
• Participate in student assessment panels, perform required documentation and evaluation using CIS (Center Information System) and other documentation systems.

What you will be doing:

You’ll be responsible for providing career technical training instruction to students in accordance with approved curricula. Provide students with basic direction, in compliance with government and management directives.
