Job summary

Wake Tech delivers comprehensive instruction in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, and related fields. In this role, you will guide classes, assess student work, and contribute to curriculum design to meet course objectives.

You will maintain a safe learning environment, provide counseling on progress, and stay abreast of current teaching methods and technology. Office hours and collaboration with colleagues are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying or related field plus two years relevant experience.
• OR
• Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying or related field plus four years relevant experience.
• Computer skills using basic functions of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, and Outlook.
• Licensure as a Professional Engineer or Professional Land Surveyor is preferred.

Job description

Responsible for providing effective instruction for assigned courses

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying or related field plus two years relevant experience in civil engineering, geomatics, surveying or related field

OR

Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying or related field plus four yearsrelevant experience in civil engineering, geomatics, surveying or related field

Preferences:

Bachelor's degree (or higher academic credential) in Civil Engineering, geomatics, Surveying, or related field

Licensure as a Professional Engineer or Professional Land Surveyor

Experience with drones, GNSS equipment, automatic levels, total stations, and robotic surveying equipment

CADD, Civil 3D, PIX4D, and/or survey data collector experience
