What You'll Do

The Day Program Instructor supports individuals with developmental disabilities to have a quality of life. The role involves promoting health, safety, and well-being, and advocating for clients.

Essential Functions
  • Outline and prepare daily routines based on Individual Program Plans.
  • Assist clients with bathroom needs and clothing changes.
  • Prepare and assist with meals and clean-up.
  • Support clients in daily living and vocational activities.
  • Transport clients as needed.
  • Participate in assessment, planning, and evaluation processes.
  • Document client notes and communicate with supervisors.
  • Attend staff meetings and training.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Education and Experience
  • 1 year supporting adults with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • California Driver’s License required.
  • Successful completion of background checks and pre-employment requirements.
  • Optional: Support Professional Certificates and CPI certification (or willing to obtain).
  • First Aid / CPR required.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift 50 lbs.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
