Job description

Primary Objective: To provide high-quality instructional interventions in academics that meet the needs of all students. The instructional tutor will work to ensure high levels of academic understanding and implementation with students. The instructional tutor will work mainly with small groups of students who demonstrate instructional needs.The instructional tutor will be responsible to develop lesson plans, familiarize themselves with the instructional materials available to them, facilitate learning, collaborating with teachers, and evaluating and assessing student performance. The instructional tutor will be responsible for collaborating with teachers and parents, interpreting student progress, and communicating this information to school staff and parents/guardians.Essential Functions:Demonstrates exemplary instructional practices and possesses a deep understanding of instruction for the purpose of providing effective best practices to improve student achievement.Demonstrates ability to diagnose academic concerns in students and develop interventions to meet those concerns.
