Job summary

Allentown City School District is seeking a Supervisor of Instructional Technology to lead the district's technology integration and instructional technology services for students and staff.

Under the Director of Innovation and Instructional Technology, this role develops and implements a strategic vision for instructional technology, coordinates digital resources, and supports teachers with high-quality professional development and online learning initiatives.

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania Instructional II and Supervisory/Principal certificates.
• Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction or Instructional Technology.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience.
• Ability to lead and supervise instructional technology programs aligned with district goals.
• Experience guiding curriculum integration of digital tools and PD for educators.
• Experience coaching a team of instructional technology specialists.
• Strong understanding of technology integration and current ed-tech trends.
• Experience delivering professional development for adult learners.
• Ability to differentiate PD for teachers by skill level.
• Ability to guide and train adult learners.
• Effective classroom management training.
• Lifelong learner and ability to adapt to emerging technologies.
• Experience with Apple hardware/software and smartboards.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide technology integration support for teachers, grade-level teams, and school faculty.
• Model and provide resources through co-teaching and planning.
• Build awareness and enthusiasm for technology resources.
• Utilize and model technology integration strategies to support differentiation.
• Provide differentiated professional growth opportunities for staff.
• Develop relationships with staff and be visible in the buildings.
• Assess and track technology skill levels to inform PD planning.
• Lead and collaborate on district technology initiatives and online programs via Canvas.
• Coordinate digital resources and advise on curriculum materials with ed-tech focus.
• Monitor trends and promote best practices in educational technology.
