Job summary

Southern Nuclear is seeking an Instructional Technologist to lead the station’s efforts to improve proficiency by implementing INPO standards and to develop innovative training interventions across all site departments.

The role partners with training managers to maintain accredited programs, ensures instructional staff demonstrate top-tier skills, and leverages modern technologies such as AR/VR and on-demand learning to elevate performance.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in education/training or related field with 2+ years training experience or higher with alternative qualifications
• Associates degree plus 4+ years training experience; or 6+ years education/training experience in lieu of degree
• Experience designing CBT modules and expertise with Articulate 360 is preferred
• Strong organizational and cross-functional coordination skills required

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure integrity of initial training programs and regulatory alignment
• Lead station-wide activities implementing INPO 23-001 and 24-001 across departments
• Develop and deliver instructional skills and performance improvement training; promote modern methods (AR/VR, on-demand learning)
• Coordinate logistics for fleet-wide instructor training courses
• Mentor instructors to comply with NRC, INPO, and department standards
• Conduct instructor evaluations and recommend developmental actions
• Analyze and develop SNC Initial Instructor Certification Program
