Job summary

ITAC Solutions, LLC seeks an experienced AV Systems Specialist to support instructional spaces across hospital campuses in the Birmingham area. The role focuses on installing, configuring, and maintaining AV gear for training and collaboration, including live and hybrid events.

You will work with IT and facilities teams to upgrade AV infrastructure, troubleshoot complex systems, and mentor junior staff in a large enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics, Audio Engineering, IT, or related technical field (Bachelor's preferred).
• Expertise with Crestron, AV-over-IP (e.g., DM NVX), and enterprise AV systems.
• Strong knowledge of signal flow, control systems, and TCP/IP networking for AV integration.
• Ability to interpret AV system drawings and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with lecture capture systems, digital whiteboards, and remote monitoring tools.
• CTS or related AV certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical support for audiovisual systems in training, meeting, and collaboration spaces.
• Install, configure, and maintain AV systems (projectors, displays, microphones, control panels, etc.).
• Support live and hybrid events using Zoom, Webex, Teams, and other platforms.
• Partner with IT and facilities teams to design and implement AV technology upgrades.
• Troubleshoot complex AV and networked systems to ensure system uptime.
• Monitor and resolve support tickets in a timely and professional manner.Mentor and guide junior staff while maintaining organized and functional AV spaces
