Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Instructional System Designer Level 1 in Albuquerque, NM to design, develop, and deliver instructional materials for DOE/National Training Center training programs. Work with the NTC team and SMEs to translate needs into engaging learning products.

Responsibilities include materials maintenance, course planning, needs assessments, and applying ADDIE and adult learning theory. The role emphasizes compliance with DOE/NTC standards and provides mentorship toward Level II/III

Qualifications

• Must have progressive experience in Instructional Systems Design or Curriculum Development.
• Experience with adult learning theory and systematic instructional design methodologies (ADDIE).
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, update, and maintain classroom, blended, and scenario-based learning materials.
• Support course planning and project timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
• Assist in needs assessments, job/task analyses, and performance gap evaluations.
• Apply DOE/NTC standards and safety policies across learning deliverables.
• Collaborate with SMEs and cross-functional teams to meet training objectives.
• Perform mentoring tasks toward Level II/III ISDs.
