This full-time role is an immediate opening with an anticipated 4 to 6 month assignment, potentially longer, emphasizing collaboration, inclusive practices, and a solutions-driven approach to student success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; two years of college preferred.
• Two years of classroom or instructional experience preferred.
• Experience working with diverse students in collaborative environments.
• Knowledge of ABA and Restorative Practices.

Responsibilities

• Actively support instruction in general education classrooms.
• Facilitate small-group instruction in reading, writing, math with teacher collaboration.
• Provide feedback on student engagement and progress.
• Lead breakout sessions for targeted intervention or enrichment.
• Support classroom culture and routines.
• Collaborate with teachers to promote a team-based approach to instruction.
• Provide accommodations and support for students on IEPs or 504 plans.
• Monitor understanding and share observations with teachers.
• Supervise students in hallways, lunchroom, library, outdoors, and on field trips.
• Proctor MCAS or other assessments with required accommodations.
• Serve as substitute teacher when regular teachers are absent.
