Job summary

Qualifications

• Possession of a current NYS Education Department teaching assistant or teacher certificate is required.
• Certification must be in one of the listed categories (TA or teaching certificate).
• Candidates must meet open-competitive minimum qualifications for this title under NY HELPS.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instructional services to students under a certified teacher.
• Reinforce material taught by guiding students through repetitive exercises.
• Administer, proctor, and correct tests.
• Additional duties discussed during the interview.
