The New York Office of Children and Family Services is seeking a Teaching Assistant to work under the supervision of a certified teacher, delivering direct instructional services to students using prepared lesson plans and tests. Responsibilities include reinforcing subject matter, administering, proctoring and correcting tests, and following NY HELPS guidelines.
Candidates must meet NYSED certification requirements and will undergo background checks and SCR screening as part of the hiring
Under the supervision of a certified teacher, provide direct instructional services to students utilizing lesson plans, tests and teaching aids developed by a certified teacher.

Reinforce subject matter previously taught by a teacher by guiding students through a prescribed and frequently repetitive learning exercise.
Administer, proctor and correct tests.

Transfer: One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in this title or in a title eligible for 70.1 transfer.
