Job summary

Under the supervision of the Associate Chief Academic Officer over EVIT CTED Satellite Programming and Adult Education, the Specialist will help teachers plan lessons, interventions, and instructional strategies to improve student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Curriculum & Instruction, Education or closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Teaching certificate in any secondary area.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience.
• Valid Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card through Arizona Department of Public Safety.
• Immunization against or immunity to measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) if born after January 1, 1957.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning for assigned school(s), programs, and program areas.
• Assist in planning lessons, interventions, and instructional strategies; train teachers.
• Plan and deliver professional development opportunities as guided by administration.
• Coordinate the new teacher mentor program and ensure fidelity of program implementation and compliance with state/district requirements.
• Support evening classes, events, and meetings as needed.

Education

Bachelor degree in Curriculum & Instruction, Education or closely related field
