Job summary

East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) seeks an Instructional Specialist to support teaching and learning across EVIT programs. You will train teachers in lesson planning, interventions, and instructional strategies, and coordinate the new teacher mentor program to ensure proper implementation.

This full-time, 12-month exempt role pays $82,983–$119,228 annually. Requirements: bachelor’s in Curriculum & Instruction or related field, a teaching certificate, and at least three years of teaching

• Bachelor's degree in Curriculum & Instruction or closely related field required.
• Teaching certificate for secondary education required.
• At least three years of teaching experience required.
• Valid Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Immunization against/measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) if born after 1957.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Associate Chief Academic Officer over EVIT CTED Satellite Programming and Adult Education, the Instructional Specialist will work to support teaching and learning for their assigned school(s), programs, and program areas. The primary focus will be in supporting and training teachers in the effective planning of lessons, interventions, and instructional strategies. The Instructional Specialist will plan and deliver professional development opportunities as guided by the administration, coordinate the new teacher mentor program, and help to ensure the fidelity of the program implementation and compliance with state and district requirements.

Salary

$82,983.00 - $119,228.00 Placement in the range will be based on a combination of education, industry related experience, teaching experience, and certification.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor degree in Curriculum & Instruction, Education or closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Teaching certificate in any secondary area
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience
• Valid Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card through Arizona Department of Public Safety.
• Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles, mumpsand rubella (MMR) if born after January 1, 1957.
