Job Description
Position Overview: To provide technical assistance and user-focused training to ensure staff and students can effectively navigate and apply software tools. Assists in the installation and testing of new software releases and provides support for the organization’s software applications.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Provides assistance in reviewing software related to educational curriculum to ensure that all apps and platforms provide stable and supported user experiences and conform to student data privacy requirements
- Provides professional development that aligns with the district’s goals including but not limited to; Instructional Technology, Accessibility with Technology, AI in Education, Cyber Security
- Supports the use of educational software and digital learning tools. Assists teachers and administrators with effective integration of technology into the curriculum.
- Creates and maintains documentation, tutorials, and training materials for staff, students, and community members. Conducts training sessions to help with effective understanding and use of software products.
- Assists with rostering, account management and Single-Sign-On via G-Suite, ClassLink, and PowerSchool.
- Serves as District Assessment Coordinator for state and national assessments
- Assists in managing devices and deploying software via Jamf Pro
- Maintains Apple School Manager
- Convenes and manages the Elementary Technology Committee
- Serves as advisor to the Edward Little High School Student Technology Team
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other members of the technology team, as well as with teachers, administrators, and external vendors. Communicate effectively about technology initiatives and updates.
- Maintains a deep understanding of software products and their underlying technologies. Maintains currency with industry trends and best practices.
- Other duties as assigned by the Technology Director
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Non Affiliated Salaried Position (260 days). Excellent Benefits including Vacation time, sick time. Maine PRS optional (PLD)

Qualifications
- QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree or experience in related fields. Strong Technical Skills; including proficiency in G-Suite for Education, Jamf Pro, PowerSchool, and state, national and district testing platforms. Department of Education CHRC
- At least 2 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
- Bachelor degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
