The University of Florida invites applications for a 12-month, non-tenure-accruing Lecturer/Instructional Assistant Professor in Food Science and Human Nutrition. The position is 100% teaching, in both in-person and online formats, with salary commensurate with qualifications and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• A master’s degree (foreign equivalent acceptable) in food science or a closely related discipline is required.
• Demonstrated skills in teaching, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal relationships.
• Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff and demonstrate commitment to student success.
• Supportive of the Land-Grant mission and UF core values.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate food science courses in-person and online.
• Develop and deliver upper-level courses aligned with expertise and interests.
• Mentor and advise undergraduate students and support professional development.
• Engage in curriculum development and scholarship related to teaching.
