Job summary

St. Clair County School System is seeking an Assistant Principal to serve as the instructional and administrative leader at the school. The role reports to the Principal and requires leadership, collaboration, and a strong background in curriculum and student services.

The candidate will supervise staff, oversee operations, and support professional development while maintaining high expectations for students and staff. The position is a 12-month, exempt role within the district’s schools.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid administrative certification.
• Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience.
• Valid Alabama Professional Educator Certificate.
• Knowledge of curriculum development and professional development.
• Strong public relations and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative leadership for all staff and students.
• Lead staff meetings and trainings to improve school operations.
• Utilize technology for communications, data analysis, and reporting.
• Assist with curriculum development, instruction, and assessment.
• Oversee facility management and school operations.
• Participate in district and state meetings as needed.
