Teach St. Louis (Teach STL) is seeking an Instructional Faculty Member to support both novice and veteran teachers in our certification and Master’s degree programs. Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in education, curriculum and instruction, or related field (Master’s degree required).
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in education.
  • Experience observing, coaching, and facilitating teacher development.
  • Deep knowledge of research-based instructional practices in math and literacy.
  • Proven ability to drive student growth and work with diverse student populations.
  • Experience in high-impact professional development or graduate coursework.
  • Experience in low-income, diverse school settings.
  • Comfort with diversity, equity, inclusion discussions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and facilitate graduate-level coursework with a focus on content pedagogy and anti-racist, culturally sustaining practices.
  • Provide regular instructional coaching for pre-service and veteran teachers with emphasis on equitable mindsets and effective feedback.
  • Serve as program coach and advisor for Teach St. Louis candidates, liaising with residency mentors.
  • Assist in evaluation of residents to measure readiness to serve as lead-teacher.
  • Monitor cohort progress and adjust coursework and coaching strategies based on data.
  • Foster a strong sense of belonging and contribution within the cohort.
