Job summary

Teach St. Louis seeks an Instructional Faculty Member to support both novice and veteran teachers in our certification and Master’s degree programs. The role focuses on professional education and clinical development across a two-year preparation program, with adjunct work through Washington University in St. Louis.

The incumbent will also serve as an instructional coach, collaborating on outcomes, state alignment, and anti-racist pedagogy while mentoring residents toward lead-teacher readiness.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in education, curriculum and instruction, or related field (Master’s degree required).
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in education.
  • Experience observing, coaching, and facilitating teacher development.
  • Deep knowledge of research-based instructional practices and assessment in math and literacy.
  • Experience in diverse urban schools and commitment to equity.
  • Experience leading professional development and graduate coursework.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and facilitate graduate-level coursework in content pedagogy for pre-service and veteran teachers.
  • Provide regular instructional coaching for pre-service and veteran teachers.
  • Serve as the primary program coach and advisor for Teach St. Louis candidates.
  • Collaborate as evaluator for pre-service residents to measure readiness to lead.
  • Monitor cohort progress and adjust coursework and coaching accordingly.
  • Foster a strong, inclusive cohort culture throughout the academic year.
