Job summary

Chesterfield County Public Schools in Virginia is seeking an Instructional Designer to join the school leadership team. The role partners with administrators and teachers to meet student needs through engaging experiences, data-driven decision making, and technology-enhanced instruction.

You will lead professional learning, support SIIP goals, and build teacher capacity with coaching, modeling lessons, and feedback cycles, while coordinating with content specialists across content areas.

Qualifications

• Valid Virginia teaching license and two years of successful teaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of instruction concepts and K-12 curriculum practices.
• Experience delivering and integrating instructional technology in classrooms.
• Proficiency with PC hardware/software, web apps, and basic networking.
• Expertise with Google/G-Suite applications.
• Experience with learning management systems and online instructional management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead professional learning and curriculum development aligned to SIIP and Imagine Tomorrow.
• Collaborate with school admin to enhance student learning through technology.
• Provide coaching and modeling to teachers on instructional practices.
• Analyze student performance data to inform instructional decisions.
• Coordinate and train staff in using technology in instruction.
• Support data management for school support services.
• Stay current with curriculum and instructional technology trends.
