Job summary

The Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine is seeking an Instructional Designer to design and develop pedagogical materials to support the curriculum across online, in-person, and small-group formats. The ID will work under the Director of Simulation & Instructional Design with the Educational Technology team and faculty.

Responsibilities include developing objectives, assessments, and content; drafting storyboards; and guiding faculty through iterative development.

Qualifications

Experience designing curricula and learning materials for higher education or medical education.
Ability to develop objectives, assessments, and content across multiple formats (online, in-person, small groups).
Proficiency with authoring tools such as Captivate and Articulate; familiarity with LMS environments.

Responsibilities

Consult with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and content.
Create instructional design materials, including goals, objectives, assessments, and module content.
Draft storyboards and prototypes and guide faculty in refinement of content.
Collaborate with Educational Technology and KPSOM faculty across project teams.
Develop content within learning management systems and design interactive experiences.
Adapt materials for different formats and produce multimedia learning aids.
