DigiKey Electronics is seeking an Instructional Designer intern to develop training curricula and materials for employee development. The role blends in-person and virtual instruction and requires regular onsite attendance at DigiKey's Thief River Falls campus with housing provided for interns.

The intern will apply core instructional design theories, collaborate with SMEs, and deliver measurable learning outcomes across multiple formats, including eLearning and live sessions.

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in instructional design, LXD, educational technology, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to design and plan curricula for in-person, virtual, and eLearning formats.

Responsibilities

• Create immersive educational experiences for DigiKey audiences.
• Apply instructional design principles to maximize learning outcomes.
• Plan, organize and develop training curricula for multiple modalities.
• Collaborate with SMEs, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate skills assessments and training, and monitor effectiveness.

The Instructional Designer intern utilizes their foundational understanding of instructional design models to produce impactful, measurable results, while fostering a collaborative and productive learning environment that captures the audience’s attention and helps them meet their development goals.This is a hybrid or essential onsite role, which will require onsite attendance.This internship is located in DigiKey’s corporate headquarters in Thief River Falls, MN and will require regular onsite attendance.
