Job summary

DigiKey Internship: Instructional Designer, located in Thief River Falls, MN. Hybrid/onsite role requiring regular onsite attendance at DigiKey’s HQ, with housing provided for interns.

The intern will develop training curricula and materials, apply instructional design models, and collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to deliver impactful learning experiences that meet development goals.

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in instructional design or related field.
• Ability to use instructional materials and resources effectively.
• Strong critical-thinking and communication skills.
• In-depth understanding of instructional design models and adult learning theories.
• Clear curriculum-planning skills.
• Willingness to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Create immersive educational experiences for DigiKey audiences.
• Apply core instructional design principles to maximize learning.
• Plan, organize and develop training curricula for in-person, virtual and eLearning.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, vendors, and internal stakeholders for curriculum design.
• Plan and coordinate skills assessments and training.
• Assess and update learning objectives; monitor training effectiveness metrics.
• Research and implement new technologies into classroom and virtual instruction.
