Job summary

DigiKey Electronics is seeking an Instructional Designer intern to develop training curricula and materials for employee development at its Thief River Falls, MN headquarters. The hybrid/onsite role requires regular in-person attendance, with local housing provided for interns.

You will create immersive learning experiences, apply instructional design theories, plan curricula for in-person, virtual, and eLearning formats, and collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to measure

• In-depth understanding of instructional design models and adult learning theories.

Responsibilities

• Create immersive educational experiences for DigiKey audiences.
• Apply core instructional design principles to maximize learning.
• Plan, organize and develop training curricula for in-person, virtual and eLearning formats.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, vendors, and internal stakeholders for curriculum design.
• Plan and coordinate skills assessments and training.
• Assess and update learning objectives, developing and monitoring metrics for evaluating training effectiveness.
• Research and implement new technologies into classroom and virtual instruction.
• Management may reassign duties as needed.
