About the Position

This is an on-campus, in-person role supporting GCOX faculty and programs, including various MBA and MS programs. Responsibilities include end-to-end course design, development, and setup in e-learning systems, primarily Canvas, ensuring quality delivery and a positive student experience.

The role involves collaboration with faculty and course production teams to produce instructional materials for online courses and programs.

Essential Functions
  • Design, develop, and maintain GCOX courses, including online, remote, hybrid, and enhanced learning experiences.
  • Advise, train, and support faculty on tools, media, and instructional strategies, ensuring courses meet learning and accessibility standards.
  • Perform quality and accessibility checks on course content according to institutional and accreditation standards.
  • Research emerging technologies and online learning tools for faculty recommendations.
  • Coordinate activities with faculty and course production teams to meet deadlines.
  • Create multimedia resources aligned with learning outcomes, such as videos, animations, interactive content, narrated slides, screen captures, and audio recordings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Some evening and weekend work may be required.
Education and Experience

A Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s preferred. Degrees in Instructional Systems Design, Education Instruction, or related fields are desirable.

Minimum of three years of relevant work experience is required, including experience designing online courses, creating faculty course videos, and piloting new teaching technologies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential. Ability to develop effective relationships across the university.

Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

Knowledge of course design principles, familiarity with Quality Matters, and experience with Canvas or similar LMS.

Experience with multimedia production tools such as Camtasia, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Premiere, or similar is preferred.
