Position Description

We are seeking a full-time, staff Instructional Designer to join our Day & Zimmermann team. The Instructional Designer I will work with the Manager of Learning Systems and Processes, Learning & Development Specialists, and Instructional Designer II to create engaging eLearning content and multimedia resources. This role supports online learning initiatives by developing instructional materials, integrating multimedia elements (audio, video, graphics), and managing Learning Management System (LMS) administration, including virtual instructor-led training (VILT) support.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and improve instructional materials and courses aligned with adult learning principles for eLearning, hybrid, and in-person formats. Ensure learning objectives match instructional strategies to promote knowledge retention and skill application.
  2. Revise instructional materials based on stakeholder feedback, data insights, and effectiveness reviews to keep content relevant and aligned with organizational needs.
  3. Manage LMS functions such as user management, course assignments, troubleshooting, and reporting. Work with LMS vendors to resolve technical issues for seamless learner experiences.
  4. Support administrative tasks for Leadership Programs, including scheduling, communications, assessment coordination, and uploading VILT recordings for on-demand access.
  5. Collaborate with L&OD peers and stakeholders to develop Learning Paths from existing LMS content.
Required Skills:
  • Proficiency with LMS platforms; SAP Litmos experience is a plus.
  • Ability to create, edit, and redesign instructional content to meet learner needs.
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, Zoom, SharePoint; Camtasia is a plus. Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience in staffing industry is a plus.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent (2+ years of experience).
  • At least 1 year of instructional design experience.
  • Experience with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Certification in E-learning or Instructional Design is preferred.
  • Positive attitude and team player.
  • Successful background screening.

The salary range for this position is $68,480 - $102,720, in accordance with pay transparency laws. Final offers depend on experience, location, and other factors.
