Job description

The Opportunity

The primary responsibility of the Instructional Designer I is the successful production of high‑quality online courses.

Daily interaction with internal peers, course developers, media specialists, contractors, other IDD staff, the Senior Director of Instructional Design and Development, and the Directors of Instructional Design and Development.

The position may be responsible for the overall coordination of multiple online course development activities, serving as a program manager for online course production, updates, and maintenance.

Requires superior critical thinking, interpersonal and communication skills, and comfort working in a team environment.

Must be able to navigate the higher education academic environment successfully.

Plays a key role in teaching and learning for the ERAU Worldwide Campus and the Academic Innovation team.

Collaborates with software developers, UX researchers, eLearning support specialists, instructional technologists, instructional designers, instructional consultants, media producers, and digital media specialists to create and implement innovative solutions and identify tools and technologies that address big challenges in education.

Seeks to constantly innovate through evaluation of existing solutions and staying informed about industry trends.
