Job summary

Valparaiso University is seeking an Instructional Designer to design, develop, and support courses and programs across face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats. You will partner with faculty and other university members to apply best practices in teaching and learning, manage multiple projects, and promote accessible, outcome-aligned course designs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in instructional design or related field
• 3+ years designing online or hybrid courses in an educational environment
• Strong knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience with teaching technologies and LMS platforms

Responsibilities

• Partner with faculty to design, develop, and support courses and programs
• Provide workshops on instructional technology and pedagogical topics
• Manage multiple projects with diverse stakeholders to ensure timely delivery
• Assist faculty to align course design with outcomes and accessibility
• Collaborate to transition face-to-face courses to hybrid or online formats
• Evaluate and revise courses to enhance learning experiences based on best practices
