Thumbtack is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer on the Field Enablement team to design, develop, and maintain engaging learning programs that drive performance, skill development, and business outcomes for Thumbtack’s frontline teams.

You’ll partner with SMEs and leaders to translate goals into effective strategies, apply AI tools for asynchronous content, and create scalable solutions that reflect product updates and changing priorities.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or performance consulting.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating ownership of complex learning programs and modalities.
• Solid expertise in instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning theory.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude/OpenAI) to build asynchronous content.
• Strong project management and stakeholder partnership skills; able to own projects end‑to‑end.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate design rationale clearly.
• Learner-first mindset with commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality design.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end instructional design for complex, high-impact programs across multiple initiatives.
• Design learning ecosystems beyond formal training using 70/20/10, Action Mapping, and performance consulting.
• Partner with stakeholders and SMEs to translate business goals into effective learning strategies.
• Develop assessments and evaluation plans; analyze outcomes across Kirkpatrick Levels 1–3.
• Contribute to content governance and standards; update programs for product changes and priorities.
• Use AI tools to design and iterate on asynchronous content with high fidelity.
• Create basic multimedia assets such as screen recordings and short-form video to support programs.
