Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking an Instructional Designer to apply learning principles across the course lifecycle, from analysis to evaluation, for associates in all areas of operations.

You will collaborate with peers and business partners to translate requirements into learning deliverables, build storyboards, and ensure quality aligns with The Home Depot's standards. Travel is typically under 10% and a relevant degree with 3 years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theories.
• Proficiency with software including Microsoft Office and standard eLearning development tools.
• Basic knowledge of project management principles and MS Project.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create learning objectives, design documents, storyboards, and other deliverables.
• Partner with Learning Strategy Senior Managers on confirming needs analysis and instructional strategy.
• Know standard eLearning development tools (Articulate Storyline, Presenter, Adobe Captivate).
• Proactively communicate task and project status to client group and management.
• Assist in interviewing, selection, and onboarding of contractors and associates.
