This role partners closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), business stakeholders, the LMS Expert, and project teams to transform business requirements, operational processes, and source materials into engaging, learner-focused training solutions. The role serves as a content-development expert and learning partner, applying adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, quality standards, and approved learning technologies to create effective learning experiences that learners can understand, retain, and apply on the job.

Key Responsibilities
1. Instructional Design & Content Development
  • Design engaging digital, blended, and performance-support learning experiences using adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain learning content and performance-support materials delivered through multiple channels, including learning platforms, videos, job aids, facilitator-led resources, learner communications, certification content, assessments, and other training materials aligned with defined objectives.
  • Translate operational procedures, Job Breakdown Sheets (JBS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical information, business requirements, and SME expertise into clear, learner-focused learning experiences.

  • Partner with SMEs to gather screenshots, process documentation, system demonstrations, supporting resources, and other content required for development.
  • Lead content-development working sessions, reviews, and refinement discussions with SMEs and stakeholders.
  • Apply quality assurance and usability standards to ensure content is accurate, instructionally sound, visually effective, accessible, and consistent.
  • Use approved learning technologies and AI-enabled tools to improve content quality, development efficiency, and learner engagement.
2. LMS & Learning Technology Support
  • Partner with the LMS Expert and business stakeholders to support LMS enhancements, content deployments, testing activities, and learner experience initiatives.
  • Build, update, configure, and test learning content within approved learning platforms as required for assigned projects.
  • Support content validation, user acceptance testing, launch readiness activities, deployment support, and post-launch updates.
  • Ensure assigned content is structured to support learner access, usability, defined tracking requirements, and the overall learner experience.
  • Participate in platform pilots and enhancement initiatives by providing instructional design, content-development, and learner-experience input.
  • Collaborate with external content-development partners, as assigned, by providing learning objectives, content requirements, review feedback, and content validation support. Vendor ownership and management remain outside this role.
3. Content Development Coordination & Deployment
  • Partner with SMEs and business stakeholders to transform operational processes, business requirements, system changes, and performance needs into engaging learning experiences that drive learner capability and business outcomes.
  • Manage assigned content-development timelines from intake through launch to ensure deliverables are completed according to established training schedules and business commitments.
  • Proactively engage SMEs and stakeholders throughout the content-development process to maintain momentum and support content readiness.
  • Coordinate content reviews, approvals, and milestone activities required to support successful training launches.
  • Communicate content-development issues, delays, or dependencies that may impact agreed-upon timelines.
  • Support training launches through content readiness activities, learner communications, launch support, and post-launch updates.
  • Work collaboratively with Business Capabilities, Talent, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, and other stakeholder groups as needed.
4. Training Communications & Continuous Improvement
  • Develop learner-facing communications, launch announcements, awareness materials, job aids, and other resources that support training participation, readiness, and engagement.
  • Review available LMS reporting, learner feedback, and stakeholder input to identify opportunities to improve training content and learner engagement.
