Job description

Primary Purpose

Provides coaching and support to classroom teachers to ensure the continuous development of instructional skills among assigned teachers. Evaluate the performance of assigned classroom teachers. Serve to reduce the student‑to‑teacher ratio. Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years of demonstrated successful classroom experience in Math or Science.

Education and Certification

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
• Master's Degree from an accredited university (Preferred).
• Valid Texas teaching certificate.

Special Knowledge and Skills

• Deep understanding of research and evidence‑based practices for teaching reading and writing.
• Ability to accurately assess student progress.
• Extensive knowledge base of content, methodologies, and pedagogical practices related to the teaching of English Language Arts, as well as literacy in general with an emphasis on intervention and differentiation.
• Extensive knowledge of curricular requirements such as those mandated by the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and the State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR).
• Ability to gather, disaggregate, and interpret data.
• Ability to evaluate curriculum and instruction program and teacher effectiveness.

Salary

From $57,800.00 to $74,068.00 annually.
