Job summary

Gestalt Community Schools is seeking an Instructional Coach to work with teachers across schools, providing guidance, training, and resources to improve instructional practices. The role focuses on implementing Common Core and ACT College Readiness Standards through coaching and PLCs.

The coach will analyze teacher practice via observations and data, collaborate with principals and deans, and support the development of academic goals. Strong communication and adult learning skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of teaching experience at Levels 4-5 with demonstrated gap-closure ability.
• Knowledge of adult learning theory and ability to mentor and coach adult learners.
• Experience presenting and working with adult teachers.
• Strong content knowledge and teaching pedagogy.
• Familiarity with GLOE & Curriculum Frameworks, Common Core, State Standards and ACT College Readiness Standards.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate teacher understanding and implementation of standards by developing school-wide PLCs.
• Coordinate and deliver professional development activities for all teachers.
• Provide ongoing feedback through classroom observations and data analysis.
• Collaborate with principals to set and monitor academic goals.
• Co-present at New Teacher Seminar and Educator’s Conference.
