Job description

Glenbrook South High School's Dean's Office is seeking an Instructional Assistant - Supervision.

The Instructional Assistant - Supervision provides supervision and support across a variety of settings, depending on the assignment. In addition, they provide efficient and courteous service to students, faculty, and staff using the various spaces in the buildings. The individual is familiar with school policy and procedures as well as departmental goals. The instructional assistant will maintain and foster a consistent, positive atmosphere that supports a cooperative and efficient work environment while prioritizing the needs of students, faculty, and staff.

Education and/or Experience and Qualifications
  • State Paraprofessional License (60 or more college credit hours or pass the Paraprofessional test to apply for a license) OR Substitute Teacher License.
  • Experience in an educational environment is preferred.

  • Professional Educator License (PEL): $0.50 per hour
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification: $0.50 per hour
  • Longevity: 5-10 Years of completed continuous service as an IA: $0.50 per hour, or 11+ Years of completed continuous service: $1.00 per hour.
