Job summary

San Juan Unified’s Skycrest School is seeking an Instructional Assistant III for a part‑time, 6.5‑hour school day (8:00 AM–3:00 PM) with 206 days/year under the CSEA framework. Salary ranges from $20.64 to $25.93 per hour, plus a 5% Hard to Staff Stipend, with eligibility for benefits.

Ideal candidates have experience with severe/emotionally disturbed students, and coursework in child development; CBEST or IA Proficiency Test passing is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with groups of children; experience with impaired children or adults highly desirable.
• Severe/Emotionally Disturbed students experience a plus; training in child development is desirable.
• Passing CBEST or IA Proficiency Test required regardless of educational background.

Responsibilities

• Support our Instructional Assistants III in classrooms serving ED/behavioral needs.
• Assist individual students and groups in learning activities.
• Adhere to district policies and safety guidelines during daily supervision.
