Location: Peter Kirk Elementary (located within the Lake Washington Learning Community)

This position is posted in accordance with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Collective Bargaining Agreement transfer process outlined in Section 15.9. The position will be posted internally for five (5) workdays. The internal posting will close on August 13, 2026. To be eligible for transfer, employees must meet the posted qualifications and have been in their current position for at least six (6) months. Qualified applicants will be contacted directly. If no internal candidates are selected for transfer, the position will be posted for one (1) week to consider both internal and external applicants.

Hourly Rate

Job Summary

May be assigned to classroom, lunchroom, library, before or after school academic programs, or office. At elementary level, assignment includes crossing guard and playground duties. May be assigned to an individual student or work with entire classroom.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent. Must hold an Associate degree (AA) or higher OR have completed two years of study equivalent to 72 college quarter credit hours, OR have passed an Educational Testing Service ParaPro Assessment documenting a score of 455 or higher, OR have passed the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment with a score of 220 or higher. Official documentation will be required upon hire.
