Job summary

Spring-Ford Area School District's Spring City Elementary School is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support students in Autistic Support. The role involves assisting with remedial work, independent studies, and enrichment activities to help learners achieve their goals.

The position is Full Time for 10 months, with a schedule of 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM (185 days). Minimum qualifications include an Associate's degree or 48 credits or passing a local assessment; experience with special needs is

• Experience working with students with special needs preferred.
• Must meet Highly Qualified Requirements: Associate's degree or higher, or have earned at least 48 credits post-secondary training or have passed a rigorous local assessment in reading, writing and mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with remedial work, independent studies, specialized areas of need and enrichment programs.
• Support instruction as part of the paraprofessional team.
• Watch information videos related to the role.
• Work hours are 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 185 days per year.

• Must meet the Paraprofessional Highly Qualified Requirements: All individuals entering the paraprofessional field are required to be Highly Qualified. Individuals are required to hold an Associate's degree or higher, or have earned at least 48 credits post-secondary training or have passed a rigorous local assessment in reading, writing and mathematics.

Hourly Rate: $20.50/hour
