Job summary

The trainer guides new aides in classroom routines, engagement strategies, and safety procedures, while collaborating with teachers, nurses, and administrators to ensure high-quality student support.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as an Instructional Aide or equivalent.
• Experience in personal care tasks (toileting, feeding, hygiene, lifting, positioning).
• Ability to provide constructive feedback to adult learners.
• Strong collaboration across multiple classrooms and teams.

Responsibilities

• Staff Training and Onboarding: onboard new Instructional Aides and model effective support strategies.
• Coaching and Professional Development: provide ongoing coaching and real-time feedback.
• Culture and Team Support: promote positive school culture and mentor new hires.
• Direct Student Support: assist with activities of daily living and safety during routines.
