Job summary

Paterson Public Schools is seeking a dedicated instructional assistant to support classroom activities in Paterson, New Jersey.

Requirements include a minimum of 60 college credits, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, administration and families. English communication in writing and speech is essential; duties include preparing materials, clerical tasks, and supervising students.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of sixty (60) college credits from an accredited college or university.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, administration, and families.
• Ability to communiate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, administrators, and the community.
• Provide assistance to the teacher such as, but not limited to, preparation of materials for class use, assistance to the teacher in clerical work, and assistance to the teacher in supervision of children.
