Instructional Aide Part-Time for VPK - St. Raphael Catholic School

St. Raphael Catholic School is seeking a dedicated Part-Time VPK Instructional Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children in our VPK program from 7:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Early Childhood Education courses or certifications preferred
• Previous experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
• Knowledge of basic child development principles
• 40 hours DCF training, plus 5 hours of literacy (or availability to complete them upon employment)
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Ability to pass FBI Level II and DCF background checks

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the VPK Director/Teacher
• Supervise and monitor children during VPK hours
• Implement age-appropriate activities
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom space
• Assist with snack time as needed
• Collaborate with staff to create a positive aftercare experience

Schedule

• Part-time position
• Hours: 07:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
• Days: Monday through Friday

Start date: August 1, 2025

All employees must pass a Level II FBI fingerprint screening and complete all mandatory training.
