Instructional Aide Part-Time for VPK - St. Raphael Catholic School

St. Raphael Catholic School is seeking a dedicated Part-Time VPK Instructional Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children in our VPK program from 7:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent required; Early Childhood Education courses or certifications preferred
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of basic child development principles

- 40 hours DCF training, plus 5 hours of literacy (or availability to complete them upon employment)
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Ability to pass FBI Level II and DCF background checks

**Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with the VPK Director/Teacher
- Supervise and monitor children during VPK hours
- Implement age-appropriate activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space
- Assist with snack time help as needed
- Collaborate with fellow staff members to create a positive aftercare experience

**Schedule:**

- Part-time position
- Hours: 07:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
- Days: Monday through Friday

August 1, 2025 start date.

All employees must pass a Level II FBI fingerprint screening and complete all mandatory training.
