Job summary

Bismarck Public Schools Solheim Elementary is seeking an Instructional Aide II to support students with significant learning challenges. You will assist with daily care, help implement instructional plans, and document progress in collaboration with teachers.

The role requires providing care, safety, and behavioral support within and outside the classroom, aligned to IEP goals, while maintaining accurate records and following school policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in instructional support preferred.
• Criminal justice background checks/clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Administer first aid and medical assistance as directed.
• Provide physical care for students with special needs.
• Support instructional activities and adapt materials for small groups or individuals.
• Attend trainings and in-service meetings such as first aid, CPR, and emergency procedures.
• Communicate progress and assist in implementing IEP objectives.
• Monitor student behavior and safety during school activities.
