Job summary

Benton Harbor Charter School Academy is seeking an Instructional Aide to support teachers and students in daily instructional activities and to foster an inclusive, engaging learning environment. The aide will reinforce concepts and provide individualized attention under teacher supervision.

Responsibilities include preparing materials, aiding in instruction, maintaining records, and assisting with a respectful, collaborative classroom community.

Qualifications

• Two years of college or 60 semester hours completed.
• Associate's degree or higher preferred.
• Formal state or local academic assessment or ETS Parapro Assessment may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with instruction and materials.
• Support student engagement and learning in classroom and labs.
• Maintain student records as directed by the teacher.
• Help keep the classroom organized and conducive to learning.
• Collaborate with staff to promote a positive learning environment.
• Model respectful behavior and aid in building community.
