International Leadership of Texas is seeking an instructional assistant for the 2026-2027 school year to support students under the supervision of a certified teacher. You will help prepare materials, manage classroom activities, and assist in scoring tests.

The role involves supervising students during daily activities and contributing to a well-organized learning environment. Applicants should have 48+ college credits or an advanced degree, or a high school diploma with required assessment.

Qualifications

  • Education/Certification: 48+ credits or higher; or HS diploma with required assessment.
  • Experience: some experience with children is preferred.
  • Ability to assist in reading, writing and math instruction; effective communicator.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction to students under teacher supervision; work with individuals or small groups.
  • Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
  • Assist with administration and scoring of objective tests and assignments.
  • Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
  • Assist with inventory, care and maintenance of equipment.
  • Help teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
  • Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
  • Supervise students during lunch, bus, and playground as needed.
  • Inform teacher of special needs or problems of individual students.
  • Participate in staff development and faculty activities as assigned.
  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Primary Purpose:

Provide instructional assistance to students under the direct supervision of a certified teacher. Assist in preparing, conducting, and managing of classroom activities.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
  • 48+ Earned College Credits, Associates degree, Bachelors and/or Masters Degree at a U.S Department of Education recognized accredited institution of higher learning (Preferred)
  • OR High School Diploma if formal academic assessment is passed as required by Every Student

Succeeds Act (ESSA)

Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics
  • Ability to work well with children
  • Ability to communicate effectively
Experience:

Some experience working with children

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Instructional Support

1. Provide instruction to students under the direction of teacher; work with individual students or small groups.

11. Participate in faculty meeting and special events as assigned.

Additional Duties:

12. Any and all other duties as assigned by your immediate supervisor.
