Rockwood Preparatory Academy in Portland, OR, is hiring Instructional Assistants for the 2026-27 school year. You will support K-5 students in a Direct Instruction setting, work with teachers, supervise recess and lunch, and help maintain records.

Starting wage is $18.94/hour, with a bilingual differential raising it to $19.49/hour. We offer employer-paid benefits including PERS, medical, dental, vision, and EAP.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to meet paraprofessional qualification requirements.
• Experience in schools is a plus but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support student learning and maintain a positive, structured environment.
• Teach small groups with fidelity to the curriculum and supervise students at recess and lunch.
• Support classroom teachers and input data as needed.
• Be a dependable, professional presence for students and colleagues.
