Job Summary

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of special education students in a classroom or other learning environment; assist in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of instructional activities; perform related clerical and health care duties as assigned.

Special Requirements

An offer of employment in this classification is contingent upon passing a physical examination.

Requirements

• Complete at least 2 years of study, or 48 units at an institution of higher education (college level)
• Obtained an associate's (or higher) degree
• Met (pass) an assessment that demonstrates knowledge of and the ability to assist in teaching reading, writing, and mathematics OR reading, writing, and mathematics readiness.
• A valid California Drivers License is required of the successful applicant.
• All employment with the Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment requirements which includes but is not limited to fingerprinting, physical exam, and verification of negative tuberculosis.
